Program description

Psychology, BA

Psychology is the scientific study of human behavior, spanning areas as varied as mental health and counseling, child development, neuroscience and brain function, memory and decision-making, behavior analysis, and statistics. Because human behavior touches nearly every field, psychology also connects closely with medicine, law, business, and economics. The Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, offered through New College, places strong emphasis on quantitative research, building students' skills in critical thinking, statistical analysis, and academic writing. The BA track allows students to explore a wider range of psychological topics through additional elective coursework, and the program as a whole lays the groundwork for future graduate study.
